Description
As humanity navigates the age of disruption, where technology and society are evolving faster than we can naturally adapt, and the profound shifts of the Anthropocene are intertwined with the pervasive influence of technology on our lives, the Techgnosis Collective emerges as a hybrid entity at the intersection of digital and non-digital realities.
Our mission is to explore the intricate interplay between conscious digital navigation, spiritual practice, and the preservation of humanity and the human experience within the ‘more than human world’. These elements are essential to preserving the integrity and potential of the human psyche and body in the era of Dataism and Transhumanism.
Techgnosis Collective was born from the collaboration of three individuals across Belgium, Holland, and the UK, inspired by the book TechGnosis by Erik Davis. Technology has often been viewed as a kind of magic, capable of transforming reality and mediating our relationship with the divine.
Our collective seeks to cultivate an open, international creative community that bridges virtual and physical spaces. By drawing from the diverse wisdom of global ancient traditions, we aim to create sacred spaces within the digital dystopia, fostering new modes of collective existence that emphasize digital wellbeing, ecological awareness, mysticism, and the preservation of human potential in the face of rapid technological change.
Started by Daan Anneman, Ellen Gilbert & Tim Smits. The Techgnosis Collective is an open international network of artists, researchers, and thinkers exploring the intersection of technology, spirituality, and the human experience. Our work spans workshops, retreats, and community gatherings for critical conversations about digital well-being, creative autonomy, and our place in a ‘more-than-human world’.

Techgnosis Manifesto
As humanity navigates the age of disruption, where technology and society are evolving faster than we can naturally adapt, and the profound shifts of the Anthropocene are intertwined with the pervasive influence of technology on our lives, the Techgnosis Collective emerges as a hybrid entity at the intersection of digital and non-digital realities.
1. Preserve the Human Experience.
In an age of rapid technological disruption, we refuse to let the pursuit of efficiency and convenience overshadow the richness of human experience. We recognise the trade-offs that come with every advancement and are committed to safeguarding the fullness of the human spirit amidst technological progress.
2. Harness Technology Mindfully.
Technology wields immense power, both enhancing and diminishing the human experience. We advocate for its mindful creation and use, understanding our profound responsibility to humanity and the planet. By navigating technology with intention, we strive to harmonise innovation with the preservation of our essential humanity.
3. We are not separate from the natural world, we are part of it.
Digitalised societies are increasingly separated from the natural world. We are dedicated to re- establishing our connection with the ‘more than human’ world, recognising nature’s profound healing powers and emphasising the importance of listening to and learning from other entities (animals, plants, spirits,…). We believe that true fulfilment arises from aligning with something greater than ourselves — be it nature, spirit, or the creative force within. This reconnection is vital to our collective wellbeing.
4. The act of creation is inherently magical.
Creativity bridges the mundane and the transcendent, a sacred act that elevates the human experience. In an increasingly automated world, we celebrate and preserve the richness of human creativity, ensuring that the human spirit remains central to our existence. We aim to emphasise the necessity for contemporary art to reveal technology’s spiritual and mythological dimensions. We explore how digital technologies can be integrated into contemporary spiritual practices
